Serhii heads the honorary position of artistic director of National Ukrainian Ballet.

• Honored Worker of Culture and Art of Ukraine.
• Member CID UNESCO – International Dance Council.
• Member of the National Union of Choreographers of Ukraine.
• Member of the National Union of Choreographers of Ukraine.
• Awarded the honorary award “Medal of Pavlo Virsky”, a teacher-choreographer of the highest category.

Education & Practice

After graduating from the choreographic department of the Dnipro Theater College, he was a ballet dancer of the ensemble in Riga, Latvia for 2 years. Then he studied for 4 years at the choreographic faculty of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. Was a participant in the cultural program at the 21st Olympic Games in Montreal (Canada).  After graduating from the Academy of Dance, he worked as a teacher, choreographer, and later the head of the department… of the Dnipro and Kyiv Ballet Colleges. Jury member and laureate of many international competitions and festivals. Students Serhii Shvets work as leading ballet dancers not only in Ukraine but also in many theaters of the world!
